Techniques

Activator

The Activator Method uses a small, hand-held instrument called the Activator Adjusting Instrument to deliver a gentle impulse force to the spine with the goal of restoring motion to the targeted spinal vertebra or joint.

Decompression

Spinal Decompression Therapy involves stretching the spine, using a traction table or similar motorized device, with the goal of relieving back pain and/or leg pain.

Diversified

This technique is the most commonly used of all chiropractic techniques and is the one probably most familiar to patients. The Diversified manipulation/adjustment entails a high velocity, low-amplitude thrust delivered by hand and possibly with assistance from a table or block.

Gonstead

The technique focuses on hands-on adjustment and is claimed to expand "standard diversified technique" by implementing additional instrumentation.

Thompson Drop

Thompson Drop technique uses a precision adjusting table with a weighing mechanism which adds only enough tension to hold the patient in the "up" position before the thrust is given.

Arthrostim®

The ArthroStim instrument delivers 12 thrusts per second and is extremely gentle.
